Automatic Detection of Small Groups of Persons, Influential Members, Relations and Hierarchy in Written Conversations Using Fuzzy Logic

چکیده
Nowadays a lot of data is collected in online forums. One of the key tasks is to determine the social structure of these online groups, for example the identification of subgroups within a larger group. We will approach the grouping of individual as a classification problem. The classifier will be based on fuzzy logic. The input to the classifier will be linguistic features and degree of relationships (among individuals). The output of the classifiers are the groupings of individuals. We also incorporate a method that ranks the members of the detected subgroup to identify the hierarchies in each subgroup. Data from the HBO television show The Wire is used to analyze the efficacy and usefulness of fuzzy logic based methods as alternative methods to classical statistical methods usually used for these problems. The proposed methodology could detect automatically the most influential members of each organization The Wire with 90% accuracy. Using fuzzy FMEA and fuzzy logic in project risk management
Risk management is one of the most important phases of project management and isthe most recently used by many researchers. In this paper, a fuzzy based method wasproposed which identifies different kinds of risks through the project life cycle. Then, the project risk magnitude can be obtained in regards to five factors, namely“severity”, “occurrence”, and “not detection” which form fuzzy FMEA a...
متن کاملA Combined Fuzzy Logic and Analytical Hierarchy Process Method for Optimal Selection and Locating of Pedestrian Crosswalks
One of the main challenges for transportation engineers is the consideration of pedestrian safety as the most vulnerable aspect of the transport system. In many countries around the world, a large number of accidents recorded by the police are composed of accidents involving pedestrians and vehicles, for example when pedestrians may be struck by passing vehicles when crossing the street. Carefu...
متن کاملA geographic information system for gas power plant location using analytical hierarchy process and fuzzy logic
This study recommends a GIS-based (Geographic Information Systems) and multi-criteria evaluation for site selection of gas power plant in Natanz City of Iran. The multi-criteria decision framework integrates legal requirements and physical constraints related to environmental and economic concerns. It also builds a hierarchy model for gas power plant suitability. The methodologies used for site...
متن کاملKarstification Potential Mapping in Northeast of Khuzestan Province, Iran, using Fuzzy Logic and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) techniques
The primary objective of the current study is to produce karstification potentiality maps in northeast of Khuzestan province, Iran, using both fuzzy logic and AHP models as an additional tool in hydrogeological research. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) are used to create two maps depicting the development of the karstification, consisting of five classes, showing th...
متن کاملUsing boolean and fuzzy logic combined with analytic hierarchy process for hazardous waste landfill site selection: A case study from Hormozgan province, Iran
Hazardous wastes include numerous kinds of discarded chemicals and other wastes generated from industrial, commercial, and institutional activities. These types of waste present immediate or long-term risks to humans, animals, plants, or the environment and therefore require special handling for safe disposal. Landfills that can accept hazardous wastes are excavated or engineered sites where th...
